Our Mission

Our mission

The Office of the Chilean Agricultural Attaché to the European Union wants to be an aid in the commercial relations of the agricultural, forestry and livestock framing sector. The office acts before the community authorities of the UE, before the ministries and offices of the member States and before the private actors of the sector within the European market.

Located in Brussels but interacting with the 27 member States of the European Union, the office also carries out specific actions before candidate countries and/or EFTA (European Fair Trade Association) members: Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

Specific goals:

To support and encourage the export of agricultural, forestry and livestock farming Chilean products to the European Union, working to facilitate the opening of the European market to our exports.
To monitor the development of new technologies within the sector, susceptible of being incorporated to the Chilean productive system.
To analyse and communicate the new commercial community regulations regarding sanitary and phytosanitary matters.
To spread all relevant information related with the interests of third countries, specially Chile.
To help Chilean producers to benefit from the comparative advantages of national agriculture, forestry and livestock farming in the context of global economy.
